Storytelling

For as long as I can remember, I've always been drawn to stories. It's no surprise to me that throughout my time at UW, I've explored different mediums for storytelling. As a designer, I've experimented with graphic design to reflect on my study abroad experience in London and infographics to highlight insights from my user research projects. Simultaneously, I've written for Arts & Culture for The Daily showcasing important art projects in Seattle. I've documented my adventures through travel writing for Voyage Magazine. I've even dabbled with selling my embroidered work at Vendor Fairs on campus.

Across these mediums, a common theme that stands out to me is storytelling. I'm driven by a passion to uplift narratives and stories important to my values. I've found myself drawn to different creative mediums to express concerns around issues of social injustice and climate change. Through creating within different mediums, I've learned that creativity is something that I can always access. As I continue my journey, I'm eager to apply my creativity in the projects I work on as a researcher or designer.
